Year in Review - A 2023 Round-Up

As we approach the end of the year, it's a time to reflect on the incredible journey we've had together.

From the joy of capturing your beloved pets to the meaningful contributions we've made to the community, this year has been filled with moments that will stay with us forever.

Here are some highlights that made this year truly special:

262 Pets Photographed

This year, I had the privilege of photographing 262 pets, each one with its own unique personality and story.

From playful pups to majestic cats, every session was a chance to create lasting memories for pet parents like yourself.

Each click of the shutter captured the essence of these beloved companions, turning little moments into timeless art their parents will cherish forever.

$11,300+ Raised for Rescues

Thanks to the generosity of our amazing clients and supporters, we raised over $11,300 for local animal rescues and non-profits including Washington Alaskan Malamute Adoption League (WAMAL) and People for Animal Care and Kindness (P.A.C.K.).

These funds are vital for providing shelter, medical care, and finding forever homes for animals in need. Your support has made a significant difference in the lives of so many animals, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

Over 600lbs of Food Donated

Our annual Fall-iday Food Drive was a huge success this year, resulting in over 600 pounds of food donated to People for Animal Care and Kindness.

The work they do in providing pet food pop-ups around the Puget Sound for those who are low income or un-housed is nothing short of incredible, and we’re honoured to be able to help them provide for the community.

It's heartwarming to see our community come together to support these worthy causes.

An International Adventure

This year also took us on an international trip to Iceland, where I had the incredible opportunity to photograph dogs amidst stunning landscapes.

Learning from some of the industry's best and internationally acclaimed pet photographers such as my number 1 idol Alicja Zmyslowska, was an enriching experience both to my craft and my soul.

The breathtaking scenery and beautiful dogs paired with an incredible experience throughout the workshop itself made this trip unforgettable and inspiring.

$16,000+ Invested in Education

One of the biggest expenses for any professional portrait business, continuing education is essential to staying at the forefront of photography, and ensuring we’re always delivering the best experience and quality of images possible.

This year, I invested over $16,000 in various workshops, courses, and seminars to hone my skills and bring even more value to my clients.

This commitment to learning ensures that I can provide the highest quality service and creativity in every session.

6 Vendor Events

Connecting with fellow pet lovers and professionals at six vendor events this year was a fantastic experience and one of my favorite things to do!

These events allowed us to showcase our work, meet new friends, and strengthen our community ties. The more we can show up in the community, the more we can spread the word about pet photography and how important it is to capture these moments with your pets.

It's always a joy to engage with others who share our passion for pets.

11 Heartfelt Goodbyes

One of the hardest parts of being a pet photographer is saying goodbye to the pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge.

This year, we said farewell to 11 cherished companions that we had the honor of meeting.

Each of these pets left a paw print on our hearts, and we are honored to have captured their spirits and the love they shared with their families during such a tender and emotional time in their lives.

Thousands of Memories Captured

From joyous playdates to serene portraits, thousands of memories were captured this year. Each photograph tells a story of love, companionship, and the special bond between pets and their owners.

These images are not just pictures; they are treasured memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

As we look forward to the new year, I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of this incredible journey. Your trust, support, and love for your pets have made this year extraordinary.

Here's to creating even more beautiful memories together in the coming year.

Thank you for being part of our family. Happy New Year!
